DDNMRC is a leading PET CT scan center near Medical College, offering advanced nuclear medicine treatments and cancer screening for bone, lung, breast, prostate, and colon cancers.
Equipped with Siemens dual-head gamma camera systems and in-house therapies for thyroid cancer and bone pain palliation, the center was founded in October 2003 by Dr. Ajith Joy K.
With a focus on hygiene, accuracy, and timely reporting, our experienced team ensures reliable and patient-centered care.
Our department is equipped with the advanced Siemens Biograph mCT Flow PET-CT scanner, designed to deliver high precision and efficiency. This hybrid imaging system uses Time of Flight (TOF) technology, which enhances PET image clarity, allowing for superior contrast and the detection of even the smallest tumors with accurate anatomical detail. Unlike standard 16-slice systems, this scanner is integrated with a 40-slice CT, enabling high-quality imaging and faster scans. The combination of TOF and advanced CT reduces patient radiation exposure while ensuring excellent image quality and diagnostic accuracy.
We also house the Siemens Symbia Pro-specta Q3, an advanced SPECT-CT gamma camera integrated with a 32-slice diagnostic CT. This fully automated system provides high-definition images with outstanding sensitivity, enabling accurate results at minimal radiation doses. A key feature of this system is IQ-SPECT technology, which is dedicated to cardiac imaging. It delivers high-quality Myocardial Perfusion Imaging (MPI) with faster scan times, enhanced clarity, and improved patient comfort. The system’s specialized converging collimators ensure precise imaging of the heart with increased safety.
For patients undergoing targeted radionuclide therapies, we offer a specially designed two-bedded High-Dose Therapy Ward. These rooms are intended for post-treatment isolation—such as after high-dose I131 therapy—ensuring radiation safety for patients and caregivers. Each room is spacious and well-lit, featuring a private bathroom and a comfortable environment to support healing. Patients are monitored closely by our trained staff, and the entire ward is constructed in full compliance with international radiation safety norms, having received certification from the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB).
